An ideal tool for building the muscles used for longer sprints, the parachute utilizes air and wind to generate resistance. Made of nylon and polypropylene webbing, the parachute is attached to the athlete from a built-in waist belt. When used during sprints or drills outdoors, the parachute responds to the wind’s movements, which pulls the athlete in different directions and at different speeds. This wind variation has the effect of recruiting a broader range of muscle groups from the abdominals to the hip extension muscles to the quadriceps and calf muscles to give the athlete greater agility, explosive speed, and better form.
